State Universal Health Care As Role Model?

According to BusinessWeek, Massachusetts healthcare costs have risen 42% since the state initiated universal healthcare coverage. This is playing havoc with that state’s finances.

The article  also discusses the situation in Maine….they  started universal  healthcare in 2005.  Premiums for Maine’s state financed program have risen by 74% in only four years, and  Maine residents are dropping their coverage.

These are programs that are being used as role models for the government’s new health care reform.

It this worrisome?  You have the information.

Now you decide.
